This statement is issued by WiseTap Ltd (company number 15646517), whose registered office is at 163 Woodland Gardens, Isleworth, United Kingdom, TW7 6LX. WiseTap should be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom, or reduced motion. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA on marketing pages and on public profiles. This statement sits with the Equality Act 2010: we must not discriminate in the way we provide the service.

We are a private company, not a public-sector body, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply. We still publish this statement so you can hold us to the target. It was last reviewed on 6 September 2026. The assessment is our own (self-assessed against WCAG 2.2 AA), not a third-party audit.

1. Scope

  • Marketing pages we serve (home, how it works, pricing, FAQ, legal).
  • Public profiles on tap.wisetap.co.uk and the tap / QR / chip landing routes.
  • Sign-in, register and the editor / admin. Those are keyboard-usable; we are still improving focus order, skip links and some empty states.

Third-party checkouts (Shopify, Stripe) and linked sites are outside this statement.

2. What we do

  • Text can be zoomed. Marketing and legal use a single column on small screens.
  • Primary actions are buttons or links with a visible focus ring.
  • Public-page motion respects prefers-reduced-motion.
  • Form fields have labels (visible or sr-only). Consent ticks are labelled.
  • The cookie banner can be accepted or rejected with a keyboard.
  • Colour is not the only way we show errors in the forms we control.

3. Known gaps

  • Some public-page galleries use empty alt on decorative thumbs. Meaningful images (avatar, logo) have alt text; we are still catching user-uploaded images that do not.
  • The desktop phone-frame preview is hidden on small screens rather than offered as a toggle.
  • Skip-to-content is not yet on every admin screen.
  • Some editor drag-and-drop blocks are awkward with a keyboard; arrow and delete controls exist as a fallback.
  • PDF or image-only content a page owner uploads is their responsibility; we cannot caption it for them.

We fix gaps as we touch those screens. This list is the honest one, not a claim of full AA today.

4. Compatibility

Pages are built for current Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge, and for VoiceOver and NVDA in those browsers. We do not test every older assistive-technology combination. If something fails in a setup you use, tell us.

5. Tell us

Email hello@wisetap.co.uk or call 0330 043 8860 with the page URL, the browser and assistive technology you use, and what went wrong. We will acknowledge within five working days and say what we will do. If you need the same information in another format (large print, plain text) ask and we will provide it where we reasonably can.

6. Enforcement

If you are not happy with our response you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (equalityadvisoryservice.com) or the Equality and Human Rights Commission. That does not stop you using the courts under the Equality Act 2010.
