WiseTap

The code is the last part of the link.

Nothing is printed on some items, and print wears off on others. The chip still has a web address written on it. Tap, read that address, keep the last piece. Or paste the whole thing — we parse it.

Website NFC Tag

now

Open “app.wisetap.co.uk/p/WT7F3K9Q” in Safari

Programmed on the chip

app.wisetap.co.uk/p/WT7F3K9Q

The last segment is the code. Everything before it is just the address of the chip.

What you type

WT7F-3K9Q

Or paste the whole link into the box on the found page. We read the code out of it.

Tap first. The address is the proof.

The chip is passive. It only speaks when a phone powers it, and what it says is a URL — not your name, not a page, just a short address that we resolve.

  1. Hold it still

iPhone at the camera. Android in the middle of the back.

A second is enough. You do not need to rub or tap. Thick metal cases and wallet cases holding bank cards can block the read; move the item a little, or scan the QR if there is one.

  2. Look before you open

The iPhone banner shows the programmed link.

“Website NFC Tag” appears even on the lock screen. The address inside that banner is what is written on the chip — read it there, before Safari opens and the page may redirect. Android often opens the page straight away; glance at the address bar, or use an NFC reader if it vanished.

  3. Keep the last segment

After /p/, /t/ or /qr/ — that is the code.

Newer items look like app.wisetap.co.uk/p/WT7F3K9Q. Earlier ones use tap.wisetap.co.uk/t/…. The first generation is a longer code at id.wisetap.co.uk/qr/…. Type what follows the last slash, with or without the dash we print in the middle.

Paste the whole link if you like.

The box on wisetap.co.uk/found accepts the printed code, a UUID, or the full programmed address. Copy it from the banner or the address bar and drop it in. We take the last part.

Try it with a link

A code printed on the back is the same thing, just already extracted.

Got the code?

Type it, or paste the link. We attach the item to your page, or start one if you do not have one yet.
